Ofcom regulate that 030 numbers can only be used by charity, public sector and not-for-profit organisations and that the bodies eligible to use ‘030’ numbers should meet at least one of two basic criteria:

  • they should appear on one of the lists of appropriate bodies, maintained by other organisations, that are indicated by Ofcom in the document “Guidance on bodies eligible to use ‘030’ telephone numbers”; or
  • they should fulfill any of the other criteria indicated by Ofcom in the document “Guidance on bodies eligible to use ‘030’ telephone numbers”

Call Management Services

How your calls are managed, answered and responded to is vital for your business. Using call management services you can route calls to teams or locations, provide answering services, auto attendants, hunt groups, call recording, Fax to email and more.
Multiple call management services can be added to a number such as routing out of hours calls to an alternative number and if unanswered then route to voicemail.

Direct callers to the correct extension or provide automated information without the need for a receptionist.

Call Queuing

Queue your calls when your number is busy and answer them in turn, ideal for service desks or small call centres.

Call Recording

Recordings can either be downloaded or delivered by email or FTP at the end of each call.

Automated data collection

Callers respond to an automated series of questions either verbally or using their phones keypad. Ideal for pre-screening calls prior to connection to ensure the caller meets set criteria, reducing the time spent by staff. Response data can either be downloaded, or delivered by email or FTP.

Receive faxes by email; each document can be delivered to single or multiple email addresses.

Route calls based on the caller’s location

From a single published number route calls based on the physical location of a caller to your nearest branch or store using Geographic area Plans.

Hunt groups

Hunt groups route incoming calls to a pre-defined list of destination in turn until a call is answered or goes to voicemail. Multiple hunt groups can operate at different times or days providing great flexibility.

Mid-call transfer

Answered calls can be transferred out to another destination number without needing another phone line or having to pay for the cost of making a second call.

Multiple numbers ring simultaneously until a call is answered.

Up to seven destination numbers ring simultaneously with the first to answer taking the call. The Multi-Call service can be useful for multi-site businesses, home workers or start-up business with no phone system.

Want to share calls between teams or locations?

Calls can be routed to a pre-defined list of locations on a percentage share basis allowing for calls to be shared between teams or locations using the Ratio Call Distribution service.

Route calls according to time of day or day of week

Time and day call routing lets you route your incoming calls to different numbers at different times of the day or days of the week. For instance out of hours calls could be routed to mobiles or voicemail.

Voicemail

Records and stores messages when you’re away or on the phone. Messages can be picked up by email, FTP, and/or accessed through the Number Manager Web portal.

Voicemail (Out of hours)

Out of hours callers can be offered an alternative voicemail service which is available when used in conjunction with the Time & Day feature. When a service is set to closed, out of hours voicemail will take messages which can be delivered by email, FTP, or accessed through the Number Manager Web portal.
